Explains how emissions factors and carbon content are worked out and suggests that some organisations/companies are misapplying these figures to oversell the carbon savings they are making. Looks in more detail at CHP and tri-generation schemes, comparing them with conventional systems, and concludes that a more stringent carbon saving analysis is needed.
