Kalita, Neal

Cost model visitor centres - 2007 - Building Magazine (25) 22 June 2007, 60-66(7) .

Analyses aspects of the design and function of visitor centre buildings. They provide an opportunity to make an architectural statement. They are often a portal to an attraction, and can also act as a substitute for it. Therefore style and function need to be reconciled in the development of the building. Planning issues depend upon the type of attraction. A cost model and breakdown is presented.
