Blake, David

Dispute resolution boards - 2007 - Contract Journal 439(6630) 20 June 2007, 42(1) .

Describes the workings and legal aspects of dispute resolution boards. Defines the two types: Dispute Adjudication Boards and Dispute Review Boards. Both are widely used in the US, but relatively new to dispute resolution in the UK. They are formed to enhance communication and expertise. They are financed at contract level. Their advantages include objectivity and neutrality. However, the format is open to abuse and Dispute Review Boards? decisions are not binding.
