Total fee income increased by 13.8%, falling only slightly short of the 14.1% reported in 2006, and contrasting with 4.8% in 2005. Almost all firms reported positive fee income growth. Partner numbers have increased and fees per partner rose by 5%, but only 11% of partners are women. Audit and assurance are booming. Consultancy is returning to mainstream operations.
