The latest Experian Business Strategies' "Focus survey of construction activity" reveals a confident construction industry, with the overall activity index rising one point to 61 in May 2007. The non-residential sector was the strongest, with its activity index climbing to 64 and its tender enquiries index reaching an all time high of 73. The outlook remains strong, with a slight slowdown in the growth rate expected over the next few months.
