Provides advice and operational costs for firms bidding for PFI contracts. Notes that bidding firms should not only know the capital cost of the building, but also the cost of keeping the building operating effectively and the longevity of the various building components. Tables based on BCIS data show estimated operational costs for different building types, projected running costs of an office over a 10 year period, life expectancy of floor finishes, and life expectancy of linoleum.
