Finds that site visitors in August were below the levels of a year ago for the eighth consecutive month, showing a drop of 30%. House builders have seen the sharpest year-on-year decline in net reservations since July 2005. Numbers of site visitors also declined. New home prices recovered by 3% after a similar dip the previous month. The use of incentives by housebuilders continued to increase markedly. House builders continued to increase their use of sales incentives, showing an increase of 36%. Despite the falling demand, there is optimism that sales in 2007 will outstrip 2006.
