Next steps for new social housing watchdog [electronic resource]

Reports the creation of the Office for Tenants and Social Landlords which is being established to police social landlords who provide substandard services to their tenants. It is also intended to reduce administrative burdens upon landlords who perform well. The new organisation will relieve the Housing Corporation of the burden of overseeing landlords. The creation of this new watchdog agency is the key recommendation accepted by the government from the Cave Review of Social Housing (L135915).
