The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 [electronic resource] - London DCLG 2007

Consultation paper presents proposals to amend the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999 (ISBN 0110804740). The proposal is to require that in a multiple stage process of development consent, environmental impact assessment can be required before other reserved matters are considered for approval. This amendment is in response to two judgments by the European Court of Justice in 2006. It is also to apply this to full planning permission conditions which do not permit any development before such reserved conditions are approved. Responses are due by 11 January 2008.
