Considers the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, which will impose a duty to comply with health and safety legislation when it comes into force on 6 April 2008. Explains the offence of corporate manslaughter under current law and outlines the changes introduced by the 2007 Act, including the fact that the 2007 Act does not rely upon the successful prosecution of an individual for manslaughter before a case against an organisation can succeed.
