Argues that trespass should be made a criminal offence. As the law stands, police will only respond to a trespass in the case of aggravated trespass as defined by the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. Otherwise, an order for possession must be acquired. Often seasonal camps or sales will have moved on by the time this is enforced. Addresses some counter-arguments including the possibility of arrest for accidental trespass. Argues that the perception of the abuse of the law of trespass must be eradicated by reform.
