Landmark rulings include that the decision that if a reviewed rent is not fixed by the review date, the landlord must serve notice if he wishes to preserve the right of recourse. It was decided that if a landlord fails to carry out prompt repairs, he can be unable to recover the cost of work from the tenant. It is important that a landlord bringing a claim for damages should provide evidence as to the diminution of value incurred. A number of other rulings are also considered.
