New agency will have key regeneration role [electronic resource]

Reports that the government has released further details of the work of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). This is being introduced to provide a central role in meeting the government's target of delivering 3m new homes by 2020. In addition to this, the HCA will have responsibility for community facilities and new infrastructure. It will work with local councils on the proposed new eco towns. The HCA will combine work currently undertaken by English Partnerships, the Housing Corporation and the delivery functions of the DCLG.
