The latest Experian Business Strategies' "Focus survey of construction activity" reveals a marginal slowing of construction growth in November 2007. The overall activity index was unchanged at 58, the orders index dropped to 68, and the civil engineering activity index fell to 46. The residential and non-residential sectors performed better, with their activity indices showing growth at 53 and 54 respectively. The industry is forecast to grow at a similar rate in December, with the rate of growth slowing marginally in 2008.
