Reveals 33 007 gross new build homes (31 430 net new homes) were built in London in 2006-07, the highest annual figure since 1977, and exceeding the Mayor?s London Plan target of 30 500 net new homes per annum for the first time. The total number of affordable homes built in 2006-07 (including existing housing converted to affordable housing) reached 11 980, a 72% increase compared to the 6 957 affordable homes built in 1999-2000.
