Discusses the case of Stephen Curley and another v Jayson Hollier [2007]. The developers (C) claimed interest on a loan made to the defendant owners (H) plus the value of the guaranteed profits under the JV. Held: the meaning of proceeding is not clear and either party's meaning could be allowed for. The court found in favour of the claimant (C), finding that they had done their reasonable best to progress the project.
