The latest Experian Business Strategies' "Focus survey of construction activity" reveals that activity is increasing slowly. Predicts that activity will continue to rise marginally. The non-residential sector was strongest in February. More than half of all building firms indicated that materials costs were rising. Regional results were mixed, with Northern Ireland's index the strongest by far, rising by seven points to 77. North West England's index fell by the same amount, to 46.
