Outlines the types of organisations which can be classed as charities, warning that surveyors need to be aware of the rules applying to each. Property is held on trust by a designated trustee. Outlines the duties of such trustees. Property disposal is performed by trustees where they have the right to do so. However the disposal should be on the best possible terms and in the interests of the charity. Leases are dealt with in broadly the same way as other property.
