Covers: definition of CRE; performance measures and assessment; management units; strategic planning; owning and leasing CRE; outsourcing policies; role of cost/profit centres. Finds many differences between companies. Suggests that this may be because some companies do not need CRE assets or that companies may not be maximising value from these assets. Finds most firms are selling property to improve shareholder value.
