HBF regional survey of house builders May 2008
- 2008
- Housing Market Report (193) May 2008, 6-10(5) .
Finds that in May 2008, site visitors and net reservations were both lower than for the year previous. However, the balance reporting lower reservations improved slightly from the record low of last month. Demand from investors and first time buyers have fallen more sharply than demand from existing home owners. The discrepancy between visitors and reservations continues to illustrate the impact of the credit crunch upon the new homes sector and a range of buyers; with a net balance of -79% of house builders expected to see a drop in sales for 2008 against 2007 figures.
