Results of the 31st annual tenanted farms survey - the 12th which shows the full year effects of the reforms made by the Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995. Key indicators included a marked drop in activity in the let sector since 2005; one in seven farm business tenancies (FBTs) was on land not previously let; average agreed length of a FBT was 3 years, 10.4 months and 81% of the 1986 Act tenancies that ended were re-let as FBTs.
