A response to Buch and Roda's analysis of the subprime crisis - 2008 - Real Estates Review 37(2) 2008, 17-29(13) .
Published in response to 'Possible causes of the current subprime mortgage loan crisis' (L143640), this article analyzes Buch and Rhoda's review. It provides four generalised areas where the author believes that the authors of the previous study have provided overly simplistic statistics and definition. These are: 'geographic'; 'aggregation'; 'definitional' and 'institutional'. The article was published with the aim of assisting with the tightening of underwriting standards, while still allowing for some provision to subprime finance.
