Monthly league table of new work winners, divided geographically and by sector. Reports that new work faltered in July, recording the lowest total since August 2007. Laing O?Rourke moved from the second position to the top place. Shows that this is due to its experience in infrastructure and its securing seven contracts of a total of £234m. Explains that it gained half of the contracts in construction, the remaining half being divided between public projects and commercial ones.
