Presents the draft Construction Contracts Bill 2008, which will set out the amendments to the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act. Suggests that all contracts, written or oral, will be covered by the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. Contractual provisions in relation with adjudication will continue to have to be made in writing. Shows that unless the agreement is made after appointing an adjudicator, contractual provisions which allocate the cost between parties will be ineffective. Clarifies payment provisions. Sets out amendments to payment and withholding notices. Comments are invited until 12 September 2008.
