A behavioural study of the decision processes underpinning disposals by property fund managers - 2008 - Journal of Property Investment and Finance 26(4) 2008, 342-361(20) .

Investigates the factors which influence fund managers' decisions to dispose of real estate within a portfolio and the information sources used by fund managers. Finds the main reason for disposal is partly due to re-structuring the portfolio, and that this is associated with under-performance of the relevant asset, and current market expectations. Concludes that managers are increasingly reliant on research and market analysis and that holding periods have shortened, with retail being the most common disposal.
