£60 million to help first time buyers [electronic resource]

The Scottish Government has announced measures to help first time buyers through the extension of the Open Market Shared Equity Pilot, announced in January 2008, to the whole of Scotland. The budget for the Scheme will also be increased to £60m in 2009/10. It is hoped that 1 500 low income households will be helped to buy their first property through the Scheme, which it is also hoped will stimulate property sales.
