Summaries the case of Manton Securities Ltd v Nazam (t/a New Dyal Cash & Carry) [2008] EWCA Civ 805 (see L145558). A tenant has the right to be granted a lease even if it took up the property without the landlord's agreement and was consistently late in paying the rent. The finding was upheld on appeal.
