More help for families facing repossession [electronic resource]

The Scottish Government has announced details of initiatives aimed at homeowners facing repossession of their properties. These include a Home Owners Support Fund, with £25m allocated over two years to provide an improved Mortgage to Rent scheme, and a new Mortgage to Shared Equity option, scheduled for introduction in early 2009. The Scottish Government has also raised the upper disposable income threshold for financial assistance for civil legal aid from £10 306 to £25 000.
