In response to increased demand, the Scottish Government is allocating an additional £5m this year to its existing Mortgage to Rent scheme. The scheme assists those in danger of having their homes repossessed by allowing them to remain in their home as tenants of a social landlord. The increase brings total investment in the scheme this year to £15m.
