Average Scotland house price shows 3% decrease year on year as volumes of sales continue to decline [electronic resource]

Suggests that the average house price in Scotland decreased by 3% in the fourth quarter of 2008, when compared with the same period in 2007. In the fourth quarter of 2008, the average price of a residential property in Scotland was £153 623, down 4.1% on the previous quarter. The volume of sales transactions also decreased by 53.6% when compared to the same quarter in 2007, and decreased by 23.2% on the previous quarter of 2008.
