Considers the role of the Infrastructure Planning Commission in determining development consent for nationally significant infrastructure projects. Outlines provisions in the Planning Act 2008 for the judicial review of decisions which must be filed within six weeks of the decision being made. Concludes that the 2008 Act will result in a large number of legal challenges to planning decision on major infrastructure projects in future years.
