Uses a hypothetical case study based on "Earl Cadogan v Sportelli" [2007] EWCA Civ 1042 (L141130) to show the costs involved in the enfranchisement of a flat in London with an assumed freehold value of £500,000 subject to a long lease with 40 years remaining at ground rent of £100pa.
