Focus survey of construction activity in March 2009 reveals that the industry may be starting to improve. Activity indexed showed a decline in activity but it rose to an eight month high of 39 in March. Strong sectoral differences are revealed: the residential index rose ten points to an 11-month high in March but the civil engineering sector fell back from the previous month.
