A proposal of the European Commission to regulate "Alternative Investment Funds", originally intended for Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds, now also includes Property Funds. RICS has reservations to this one-size-fits-all approach, due to the specific characteristics of Property Funds, as well as to the valuation aspect of the proposal.
