Sole agency v multi-agency an investigation of agency practice across England and Wales - 2009 - Journal of Property Investment and Finance 27(4) 2009, 228-241(14) .

How does different agency practice impact on agency fees, business efficiency and housing market liquidity in England and Wales? Survey data from 2000 to 2006 confirms that agency practice has a locality basis with some regions more likely to adopt sole agency practice than others: sole agency estate agents charge lower fees, help clients to achieve better selling prices and are more efficient. Multi-agency practice facilitates liquidity in the housing market but experiences a higher fall-through rate. Map. Tables. References.
