Socially responsible property investment (SRPI) has grown in significance in recent years as property investors have increased the weight given to environmental, social and governance factors in their property investment decision making. Objectively identifies UK property companies actively involved in SRPI and establishes SRPI performance indices for UK property companies which empirically benchmark the companies? risk-adjusted performance and portfolio diversification benefits over recent years. UK SRPI property companies deliver superior risk-adjusted returns than the overall UK property companies sector, this being achieved without any loss of portfolio diversification benefits. Tables.
