Platform Funding Ltd v Bank of Scotland Plc (formerly Halifax Plc) [2008] EWCA Civ 930, 31 July 2008 (see L144934). CA had to decide whether the inspection of the wrong property was a breach of an unqualified obligation. Held: by accepting instructions to inspect and value a particular property, notwithstanding being misled into valuing a different property in this case, the valuers undertook an unqualified obligation to inspect the property and failing to do so were in breach of contract.
