Presents the London Fire Brigade's (LFB) new measure for reducing calls for people shut in lifts. Suggests that from 1 November 2009, LFB will start charging a fee to lift owners or operators where an excessive amount of calls to release a person shut in a lift is reached. The goal is to encourage building owners to solve this problem.
