New meat hygiene regulations - 1992 - MAFF News Release (292/92) 10 September 1992 (7) .

Regulations are published introducing the EC requirements which will apply to the production of all red meat in the Community from 1 January 1993. Regulations transferring the responsibility for licensing poultry meat plants from local authorities to the Agriculture Departments are also published.
