With uncertainty over the EU's plans to bail-out the Greek economy there is little optimism in the property investment sector, although distressed assets are attracting interest. Athens yields are down and retail vacancies up. Turkey's once great retail development potential has been slowed by short-sighted retail mall planning allowing them to be developed to close to each other and constrained by inward investment blockages. Suggests considering investment in Turkey's residential property sector.
