Comprehensive report on the state of the UK seas describes progress since the first publication of Charting Progress in 2005. The main findings include, sea levels have risen by 14cm during the last century with surface temperatures increasing by on degree Celsius since the late 19 Century. Populations of sea birds and harbour seals are declining in some areas but fish stocks have improved but many are still fished unsustainably.
