Developers in London's Midtown will return in 2011 to speculative office building as the pipeline of new available space shrinks. Crossrail's £1bn station development will inspire revitalisation in the Tottenham Court Road area. Farebrother reports in its latest Midtown office report that Midtown has the lowest percentage of available space compared to the City and the West End and expects this to shrink a further 16% this year. Great Ormond Street is halfway through its £343m redevelopment. Covent Garden residential prices now 30% higher than previous 2007 peak.
