Retail property agents are having to adjust to a new reality as retailers and landlords have been forced by economic conditions to negotiate directly with one another, cutting out the middle man/agent. Does this disintermediation signal the demise of retail agents? Agents are no longer often being asked to source premises and are also increasingly missing out on rent review negotiations.
