Announces the publication of the Long Leases (Scotland) Bill, which will end the phenomenon of ultra-long leases (where a property is let for over 175 years and has more than 100 years to run) by changing them to ownership. There are approximately 9 000 such leases in Scotland, of which two thirds have annual rents of £5 or less.
