The UK Tenants Accrediation Scheme (UKTAS) is being launched on 1 March 2012 following a pilot study organised and monitored by the private sector housing team at Southend on Sea Borough Council. The aim of the scheme is to help landlords and agents identify good tenants behound the usual tenancy referencing checks.
