Search on behalf of Surrey County Council reveals there is currently no suitable vacant office space within the county boundary. Knight Frank reports that only 433 000 sq ft of new office space has been built in Surrey in the last five years. Looks at the likelihood of the "Thames Hub" aka "Boris Island", Foster & Partners' projected new airport in Kent, coming to fruition. Vestas Offshore, the Danish wind turbine manufacturer, has a planning application in for more than 6m sq ft of industrial space at the Port of Sheerness, Isle of Sheppey.
