The Government announced on 12 March 2012, the Right to Buy discount limit across England would be increased up to £75 000 with effect from 2 April 2012. Every additional home sold under Right to Buy will be replaced by a new home for affordable rent. Local authorities will be able to retain the receipts for replacement housing.
