Details the proposals following the government's Red Tape Challenge for the Environment Theme which was launched in April 2011. Areas covered include, waste, environment permitting and carbon reduction. Out of 255 regulations 132 will be improved mainly through simplification and consolidation, 70 will be kept as they are and 53 obsolete regulations will be removed.
