The take-up of office space in the first quarter has been particularly low with deals in the City falling to levels last seen in 2009. 2012 will be a year of two halves for occupiers: caution in the first half; pent up demand along with an Olympics feel-good factor combining to give the office market a lift in H2 2012. The London property investment market however has seen considerable activity in Q1 with £3.3bn of property changing hands.
