[2012] EWCA Civ 698, 24 May 2012. Considers whether a guarantor of a lease can escape liability because the landlord failed to give him early notice of rent arrears. A sublease on premises operated by appellants Q, and S (who controlled and owned Q), was assigned to defendant D and guaranteed by S. Claimant landlord G agreed to notify S if D's rent fell two months into arrears. D fell behind but G did not notify S. "Held":appeal dismissed. S was still liable for the unpaid rent.
